BUILD

I purchased this DeAgostini 1:8 scale Dodge Charger R/T from Fast & Furious partwork model build-up from the now-defunct Model Space. It was available in the US via a monthly subscription service. It was originally released in Italy, and for a short time in early 2019, was available as a test run at some UK newsagents.

UPDATE Late 2020/Early 2021: This build was also released in the UK via Fanhome.

UPDATE June 18, 2021: This build is now available from the new US site of Fanhome.

Over the span of about 2 years, DeAgostini delivers 110 ‘stages’ that each contain a few parts of the model. These are monthly deliveries and they are shipped in groups of four to five stages about every four weeks.

The subscription is perpetual and automatically charges your credit card every month when the issue ships.  If necessary, however, the subscription can be suspended or cancelled at any time. My ModelSpace subscription version does not include any free gifts. However, the Fanhome versions should also include some FREE gifts along the way, such as posters, a binder, a coffee mug, a power bank, and a backpack.

Additionally, this is our first part work that does not include any printed magazines with the shipments. Instead, all of the build instructions are hosted online at ModelSpace and on my site HERE. Unfortunately, this means we are missing out on the extra sections of the magazines about the films, characters, etc. that were included in the original Italian release and UK test run. It is strange that they are not included with the US subscription.

Anyway, I created this site to share our build progress and hopefully offer hints and tips we discovered along the way. It is not intended to be a step-by-step replacement for the instructions, so please read the magazines carefully! Lastly, most of the parts appear to be very detailed, so we may only be painting a few things to be more accurate.
