Return to the BUILD
“Thanks to the new parts attached, you can start assembling the nose of your Dodge Charger R/T.”
Materials: Most everything in this stage is plastic, except for the metal Front Lower Panel and the photo-etched metal of the Radiator Grille.
Nose with Grille and Front Headlamps
Position the Front Upper Panel so that the inner side is facing you. Begin the front left headlamp by first fitting one of the Frame Front Headlamps to the left side:
Next, fit two of the Glass Cover Front Headlamps over the frame, aligning the two pins for each cover:
Then, fit the Front Headlamp Unit over the lenses:
Finally, secure all of these parts to the Front Upper Panel with two (2) BP screws:
Assembly the right headlamp by repeating the previous step with the other headlamps parts on the right side:
Insert the Front Grille into the middle of the outside of the Front Upper Panel:
Secure from behind with two (2) AP screws:
Gently insert the «R/T» Emblem through the two holes of the Radiator Grille, as shown. Then, press it all the way in flush:
The Radiator Grille sandwiches between Chromed Profile and the Front Upper Panel:
If everything is aligned correctly, secure from behind with eight (8) AP screws.
The instructions say eight screws, but show nine in the image. The correct number to use is nine (9), as shown below:
Insert one of the Indicator Frames into the left hole in the Front Lower Panel:
Place one of the Indicator Glass Covers over the Indicator Frame:
Finally, place one of the Indicator Units over the cover and secure all three parts to the panel with two (2) DM screws.
This is your friendly reminder to try using 3-in-One Oil on all screws going into metal:
Mount the right indicator in the same way with the remaining parts:
Attach the Front Lower Panel to the Front Upper Panel with four (4) CP screws, as shown:
MOM: With each stage I am falling more in love with this build! The grille is gorgeous!
We will not need this Nose assembly again until we install it in Stage 107, so store it somewhere safe for now.
