Elements of the Front Section of the Chassis (1)
Lower Radiator Cover
Stage 6.1
Insert the Anchorage Bolt through the Lower Radiator Cover.
These two pieces have a keyed hole that aligns them correctly:
Secure these together with one (1) DM screw.
This is your friendly reminder to try using 3-in-One Oil on all screws going into metal:
Stage 6.2
Attach the Lower Front Panel Plate to the Anchorage Bolt with one (1) CM screw.
The Lower Front Panel Plate should be perpendicular (90 degrees) to the Lower Radiator Cover, as shown:
Stage 6.3
Retrieve the chassis assembly from the previous stage and slide the Lower Radiator Cover over these end posts, as shown.
The Lower Radiator Cover is not supposed to sit flush against the chassis, but sits up on top of the posts:
Stage 6.4
Secure the Lower Radiator Cover to the chassis with two (2) AM screws:
Front Crossmember 1
Stage 6.5
Attach the Front Chassis Crossmember 1 and Crossmember Cover 1 together with three (3) CM screws:
Stage 6.6
Place this Crossmember 1 assembly across the chassis behind the Lower Radiator Cover and secure with two (2) CM screws:
Under Engine Covers
Stage 6.7
Align the pin on the Left Under Engine Cover to this larger hole behind the Crossmember 1 assembly (on the wheel side):
Secure the Left Under Engine Cover into place with one (1) CM screw through the smaller hole, as shown:
Stage 6.8
Repeat the previous step with the Right Under Engine Cover on the other side with one (1) CM screw:
Thoughts
MOM: Another important part was added to the chassis in this stage. I’m looking forward to the next stages!
SON: For this stage there were even more parts added to the frame/ chassis of the car, and that piece was for the middle support of the car. Also I am surprised how much metal there is.
