Build
The Front Section of the Chassis
Stage 107.1
Retrieve your Nose assembly from Stage 3. Fit the Front Chassis Cross Member to the Front Lower Panel and secure it into place with three (3) CM screws.
The raised ‘ribs’ of the Front Chassis Cross Member should be facing up, as shown. This is also your friendly reminder to try using 3-in-One Oil on all screws going into metal:
Stage 107.2
Join the flat ends of the Lower Front Left Panel Mount Bracket and the Front Left Panel Mount Bracket as shown, then secure these parts together with one (1) FM screw.
Both of these parts are marked ‘L’ so you can tell them apart from the right side brackets:
Stage 107.3
Fit this Mount Bracket assembly to the left inside of the Nose assembly as shown, then secure the bracket into place with one (1) FM screw and one (1) KP screw.
On this side of the Nose, the FM screw is used on the left screw hole while the KP screw is used on the right screw hole:
Stage 107.4
In the same way, join the flat ends of the Lower Front Right Panel Mount Bracket and the Front Right Panel Mount Bracket as shown, then secure these parts together with one (1) FM screw.
Both of these parts are marked ‘R’:
Stage 107.5
Fit this Mount Bracket assembly to the right inside of the Nose assembly as shown, then secure the bracket into place with one (1) FM screw and one (1) KP screw.
Opposite the first bracket, here the FM screw is used on the right screw hole, while the KP screw is used on the left screw hole:
With both brackets installed, the Nose assembly should look like this from above:
Stage 107.6
Disconnect the plugs of the Wiring for the LED Headlights and insert the LEDs into the holes of each Front Headlamp Unit, as shown.
Be sure the plug of this wiring ends up at the left side of the Nose assembly:
To make sure the leads of the LEDs would not be damaged when we install the Nose assembly, I gently bent them flush behind the headlamps:
Stage 107.7
Use the Adhesive Tape to secure the wiring between the two Front Headlamp Units to the Front Upper Panel.
I cut the Adhesive Tape pieces into smaller pieces so I could better secure this wiring with three strips:
Stage 107.8
Retrieve your Charger and carefully place it upside down on a soft cloth. Then, slide the Mount Brackets of the Nose assembly into the front of the car, as shown. As you do this, be sure to reconnect the plugs of the Wiring for the LED Headlights:
Stage 107.9
Make sure the Nose is fully seated, then secure the Mount Brackets to the Chassis with four (4) FM screws, two on each side, as shown:
Stage 107.10
Secure the Front Lower Panel to the Chassis with four (4) CM screws, as shown:
Stage 107.11
Finally, carefully turn your model over and secure the Front Panel Engine Housing to the Nose assembly with three (3) QP screws:
Thoughts
With this stage completed, the front Nose of our Charger R/T we built forever ago is finally installed and is looking very good I must say!
