Assembling the Firewall

Stage 25.1

Fit one of the Bonnet Safety Catches into this hole of the Firewall. Secure from below with one (1) CM screw.

The base of the Bonnet Safety Catches is hexagonal and you want this aligned so the tiny indents in the catch line up with the Firewall, as shown:

Also, make sure the tiny hole on the end of the catch is parallel to the Firewall:

This is also your friendly reminder to try using 3-in-One Oil on all screws going into metal:

Stage 25.2

Attach the other Bonnet Safety Catch to the other end of the Firewall the same way, with one (1) CM screw:

Stage 25.3

Push the pin on the Relay into the matching hole and recess of the Firewall, as shown. No screw or glue is needed here:

Stage 25.4

Push the D-shaped pin of the Firewall Grounding Connector into this matching hole of the Firewall, as shown. No screw or glue here either:

Thoughts

MOM:  While this stage was easy, I can’t help but get a little giddy as we add a little more to the front end of the car!
