Assembling the Bonnet

Stage 98.1

Retrieve your Bonnet (Hood) assembly from Stage 1. Remove and keep the nine (9) AM screws holding the Inner Reinforcement Panel to the Bonnet and lift the panel away.

This is my picture from Stage 1 showing all of the screw locations:

Stage 98.2

Retrieve your Bonnet Hood Lock from the previous stage and fit it into this hole at the front the Inner Reinforcement Panel, as shown:

Secure the Bonnet Hood Lock into place from the other side with one (1) MP screw:

Stage 98.3

Fit the Inner Reinforcement Panel back onto the Bonnet and reinstall the nine (9) AM screws.

This is your friendly reminder to try using 3-in-One Oil on all screws going into metal:

Stage 98.4

Retrieve your Bonnet Reinforcement Cross Member from the previous stage, fit it to the underside of the Inner Reinforcement Panel as shown, and secure it into place with three (3) AM screws.

Stage 98.5

Retrieve your Front Left Indicator and Front Right Indicator from the previous stage. Fit the keyed posts of these two parts down into the matching recesses on the top of the Bonnet, as shown.

These two parts are different and will only fit flush when correctly installed:

Secure these indicators into place from below with two (2) MP screws, one on each side:

Thoughts

Do you get the feeling that this stage should have been done as we were building the Bonnet the first time around? Anyway, keep the Boot (Trunk) parts we received in this stage nearby, they will be needed soon.
